Our Mission -

Loving, Serving, and Accepting All People with God’s Life-Changing Power

Brecksville United Church of Christ is - - -

Inspirational - growing together as God's people in the world
Authentic - celebrating the freedom of real people to be themselves
Progressive - relating faith to all aspects of life
Thoughtful - providing opportunities for all ages to learn and grow in faith
Accepting - supporting a community in which all are valued; differing beliefs respected
Congregational - sharing together the leadership of the church
Christian - mainline Protestant, but not stuffy

Our ministry emphasizes worship, outreach and service. Every Sunday we gather to praise God through inspiring and creative music, challenging and uplifting preaching, and a special time for young worshipers. We come together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and go forth encouraged to live-out our faith in our community and in our world. We welcome and invite all people to explore with us the reality of life, and to connect together with the Divine Source of Life. As followers of Jesus Christ, we seek to fully love God, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

We will receive you warmly but will not overwhelm you. You are free and encouraged to investigate our church and spiritual matters on your own terms and at your own pace. No pressure. Guaranteed.

We have made "Opening Doors" real with our new addition. We await you!

Our Welcome for you . . .

- begins in our expanded parking lot, with entry from Arlington Street.

- continues with our easily accessible South Entry with our elevator.

- includes the welcoming feeling from our restored circa 1900 stained glass windows recovered from the 1963 fire that destroyed our sanctuary.

- involves the warm greeting you receive in our Upper Commons and continuing in our Narthex as you enter to join our worship.

- is felt in the traditional and contemporary music and words of our worship service.

- and continues after worship during fellowship over coffee and goodies in our Pilgrim Hall.

Come - let us extend our welcome to you, too.
